Users of WhatSpeap will soon be able to enjoy watching YouTube videos in the app. According to media reports, there is a new feature in WhatsApp which will allow users to turn on any YouTube video link in their app.
Video can be viewed on a picture-in-picture or full screen. At the moment Whatsapp In-App YouTube does not offer the ability to playback video.
'WAbetInfo' saw a new feature on WhatsApp 2.12.4 version of Whatsapp's iOS Beta app. The discussion is that Whatsapp is testing the new YouTube playback feature in the iOS app. With the new feature, it is possible to turn the YouTube link sent to a chat on WhatsApp in the same chat window. This means that there will no longer need to open links in the YouTube app. Whatsapp users will be able to resize the window. There will also be facility to open the video on a separate full screen. If users want to see other messages in the same chat window, you can side the screen.
Switching to another chat or app via WhatsApp users will stop YouTube video from displaying. This feature will support all the variants above the iPhone 6. This new feature is currently available for the iOS WhatsApp beta user.
Hopefully this feature will be released soon for the normal iOS user. It is expected that if this new feature proved successful in testing then it would soon be available to all users. At the moment, when a YouTube link arrives in WhatsApp, it has to go out of the app. With the new feature, users will be able to view the YouTube video link in the app itself.
