BSNL's plan to provide satellite phone service to everyone in the next two years

Public sector telecom company BSNL intends to introduce Satellife phone service for all citizens of the country in two years.




This service will be able to work from any corner of the country and will continue to work despite the mobile services being stalled at the time of natural calamity.


BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Srivastava said, "We have applied to the International Marine Organization, it will take some time to complete the process. In the one and a half to two years we will provide the status of providing satellite phone service to all citizens in a phased manner. Will be in ".

Srivastava said that satellite phones will be able to work in any part of the country. Even in flights and ships. They will depend on the signal from the Earth through 35,700 kilometers of satellites.

BSNL has started the satellite phone service through the Inmarsat service. Initially this service is available to government agencies. Later it will extend to the citizens in a phased manner.

This service will be available to those areas where there is currently no network. This will be made available through Inmarsat, which has 14 satellites.
